The New Fit set is EMIR’s signature piece: a carefully crafted, precise, and understatedly elegant cut.
It returns this spring in a seasonal bi-stretch fabric, which is uncommon for this type of set.
Its weight of 270 g/m² reflects the lightness of its spring-summer fabric, while giving it an even better drape.
If you look closely at the fabric, you’ll see that it’s the viscose that gives it that slight irregularity (especially visible in light grey), which is part of its charm.
THE SHIRT
A long overshirt with a mandarin collar, long sleeves, an asymmetrical hem, and a welt pocket.
The result is polished but not precious. Its lightweight, fluid spring-summer fabric gives it a beautiful drape.
Mandarin collar: halfway between a stand-up collar and a mandarin collar, it adds a relaxed touch to the New Fit shirt.
Pleats: for a Western look, with an asymmetrical length and slits for an Eastern touch.
THE SAROUEL
Carrot-cut sarouel trousers with a wide crotch, two side pockets, a front zip fastening, and a waistband with belt loops and elastic. Lightweight, fluid spring-summer fabric.
Roomy, comfortable, and stylish, these trousers are more of a designer piece than off-the-rack wear. A carrot cut and tapered legs for a smart-casual style, with a roomy seat and crotch for genuine comfort without compromising your silhouette. Their straight cut, eight panels, and square cut will make them a key piece in your wardrobe.

CARE
How to wash your EMIR polyviscose garments?
WASHING
It is important to refer to the care label on your garments. We recommend washing your viscose and polyviscose garments inside out to preserve the vibrancy of the colours.
Machine washing: Wash your viscose garments at 30°C on a delicate cycle. It is advisable to wash them with other garments to prevent the machine drum from damaging them.
Hand washing: If you prefer to wash your EMIR garments by hand, wash them in cold or lukewarm water, at a maximum of 20°C. Immerse them in water with detergent, gently rub, then rinse in clean water.
DRYING
Viscose garments should not be tumble-dried. Hanging to dry is the only suitable method.
Please note that the softness of viscose may change when it comes into contact with water. Don’t worry—once dry, it will regain its original feel.
IRONING
Iron viscose inside out with the iron set to the lowest temperature, while damp and using a pressing cloth* for added protection. Do not use the steam function on your iron, as this may damage the garment. This is the stage at which the viscose garment regains its original shape.
*A damp cloth used for ironing garments.
Have you never used a pressing cloth before?
- Take a piece of cotton fabric, preferably white and without seams,
- dampen it by running it under water,
- squeeze out the excess water so that it does not drip onto the garment you are ironing,
- lay the pressing cloth flat on the garment,
- set the iron to the correct temperature, and you’re ready to go!
This way, you’ll extend the life of your favourite garments. This technique is especially useful for dark fabrics, jeans, or suit fabrics that can easily become shiny when ironed, as the iron may leave shiny marks on your garments.
