SIZE GUIDE
The hoodie fits true to size. You can choose your usual size, but if you prefer a looser fit, take one size up.
For reference, our models measure:
- 188 cm, 83 kg, and wears a size L (camel & khaki hoodie shirt)
- 175 cm, 80 kg, and wears a size M (black hoodie shirt)
CARE
How to wash your EMIR poplin shirts?
WASHING
It is important to refer to the care label on your clothing. Cotton is a soft and easy-care fiber. However, if your shirt has a stain, it is best to remove it before washing to prevent the stain from setting. (Marseille soap will do the trick).
Machine wash : Unbutton your shirt, then put it in the washing machine at 40°C on a delicate cycle. Use a suitable detergent and a little fabric softener. Spin at 900 rpm.
DRYING
Your poplin shirts should not be tumble-dried. It is better to hang them on a hanger to dry, which will make ironing easier.
IRONING
Activate the steam function on your iron and set it to “cotton”. Excessive heat could damage your shirt. We recommend using a pressing cloth* for dark-colored shirts to prevent them from becoming shiny.
Start with the sleeves (use the sleeve board* if your ironing board is equipped with one). Then iron the cuffs, collar, back yoke, and finally the body, alternating sides, back, sides.
*Damp cloth used for ironing clothes.
*Small portable ironing board that attaches to certain ironing boards.
Have you never used a pressing cloth before?
- Take a piece of cotton fabric, preferably white and without seams,
- Dampen it by running it under water,
- Wring out the pressing cloth thoroughly so that water does not drip onto the garment you are ironing,
- Place the pressing cloth flat on the garment,
- Set the iron to the correct temperature and you are ready to go!
This way, you will extend the life of your favorite pieces. This technique is especially useful with dark fabrics, jeans, or suit fabrics that easily become shiny when ironed. This is because the iron can “shine” your clothes and leave shiny marks.
