CARE
How to wash your EMIR polyviscose garments?
WASHING
It is important to refer to the care label on your clothing. We recommend washing your viscose and polyviscose garments inside out to preserve the vibrancy of the colours.
Machine wash : Your viscose garments can be washed at 30°C on a delicate cycle. It is advisable to wash them with other garments to prevent the machine drum from damaging them.
Hand wash : If you prefer to wash your EMIR garments by hand, wash them in cold or lukewarm water, at a maximum of 20°C. Immerse them in water with detergent, gently rub, then rinse in clean water.
DRYING
Viscose garments should not be tumble dried. Hanging to dry is the only suitable method.
Please note that the softness of viscose may change when it comes into contact with water. Don't worry, once dry, it will return to its original feel.
IRONING
Viscose should be ironed inside out with the iron set to the lowest temperature, while damp and using a pressing cloth* for added protection. Do not use the steam function on your iron to avoid damaging the garment. This is the stage at which the viscose garment returns to its original size.
*A damp cloth used for ironing clothes.
Have you never used a pressing cloth before?
- Take a piece of cotton fabric, preferably white and without seams,
- Dampen it by running it under water,
- Wring out the pressing cloth well so that water does not drip onto the garment you are ironing,
- Place the pressing cloth flat on the garment,
- Set the iron to the correct temperature and you're ready to go!
This way you extend the life of your favourite pieces. This technique is especially useful with dark fabrics, jeans or suit fabrics that easily shine when ironed. This is because the iron can "shine" your clothes and leave shiny marks.
